Bloomington Food Policy Council Food Charter
The BFPC developed the Food Charter over a few months with input from stakeholders and community members. The Food Charter will be presented to both City and County government this winter.
Bloomington Food Policy Council Strategic Plan
The Bloomington Food Policy Council went through a Strategic Plan throughout the winter. This draft will serve as a starting point for the BFPC and will be adapted and revised as the Council working groups move forward. Questions and comments can be sent to bfpc@bloomingtonfpc.org.
Food Production Survey
The Assessment Working Group of the Bloomington Food Policy Council seeks to learn about people producing plant or animal food in Bloomington and surrounding counties, or about those who are not producing at the moment, but would like to. To that end, we’ve put together three surveys, one for professional growers, one for non-professionals, and one for food-related organizations. Each of these should take no more than about ten minutes to complete, and we would very much appreciate your taking the appropriate one. Monroe County Community School Corporation: Food System Project
The Advocacy and Education Working Groups are currently considering projects and collaborations in conjunction with the Monroe County Community School Corporation‘s food services director to benefit their food system. An information gathering meeting was held November 1st. Meetings will reconvene in early 2012 to discuss further ideas and actions.
